Jana Nayagan To Release For Pongal

Thalapathy Vijay's highly anticipated film Jana Nayagan, directed by H Vinoth, has been making waves since its announcement. The film, which marks Vijay's farewell to the film industry as he ventures into politics, was initially scheduled to release in October 2025. However, according to the latest reports, the makers are now eyeing a January 2026 release, coinciding with the Pongal festival. This new release window is significant, as it will also be the same year that Vijay's party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, will be contesting in elections.

The film's cast includes Pooja Hegde as the female lead, reuniting with Vijay for the second time after the 2022 action-drama Beast. Other notable cast members include Priyamani, Mamitha Baiju, Bobby Deol, Gautham Menon, Prakash Raj, and Narain. Jana Nayagan is produced by KVN Productions, with Anirudh Ravichander scoring the music and Sathyan Sooryan ISC handling the cinematography.

Recently, he organised an Iftar party for the ongoing Ramadan season and has been strongly criticising the ruling party of Tamil Nadu, DMK, for its shortcomings.
