Producer predicts Oscars to Ramayan. Bollywood film Ramayan is capturing the imagination of all. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash in the roles of Lord Ram, Goddess Sita and Demon King Ravan. The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and is bankrolled in a prestigious manner.

Now, Namit Malhotra, who came on board as one of the producer, speaking to scribes said "I do not doubt that it does (have the potential). In fact, it's down to us and how we can actually bring it to the world. And that is where there's a massive responsibility in doing that." while comparing it with Hollywood films Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon , Interstellar and Dune.

It is known that Namit Malhotra heads  the VFX studio DNEG,and he has won seven Oscars for Best Visual Effects for path-breaking films like Interstellar and Dune. On Adipurush failure and its potential impact on Ramayan, he said "That's why we're trying to be very careful and cautious, that we do it with the utmost care and with the utmost sensitivity. Because, right, you know, this opportunity does not come again and again, and it's the moment for India right now."

He added "I'm keen to not just make India proud but excite the world about Indian storytelling and really celebrate global cinema together. It's not like we don't like Hollywood films. It's not like we don't see an Oppenheimer and have a great feeling, or a Forest Gump, or any of these, you know, landmark films. Their stories are universal. I believe this is universal too. This is that opportunity that I believe I'm pretty fortunate to have received in my life, and I hope I can deliver,"

The film stars Ravi Dubey, Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chaddha, and Arun Govil and will be released in two parts, first part in 2026 and second in 2027.
