Shivani Rajasekhar rejected blockbuster Uppena. Vaishnav Tej and Krithi Shetty made their debut with Uppena which also marked the debut of star director Sukumar's protege Buchhi Babu Sana as the director. The film created a sensation as the film turned out to be the blockbuster.

But inside talk is, angry star Rajasekhar's daughter Shivani Rajasekhar rejected the female lead role and thus missed a blockbuster. Shivani Rajasekhar rejected the role which came to her first as the role had liplock scenes. The role then went to Krithi Shetty who grabbed it with both hands and created a sensation with her captivating performance.

Shivani Rajasekhar is now ruing the missed opportunity. Shivani recollecting the incident said that when the director Buchhi Babu Sana told her that the role will have bold and intimate scenes and liplocks, she said she rejected the role saying she would be uncomfortable in doing such scenes.
