Karnataka High Court stays criminal proceedings against Hema

Actress Hema landed in trouble when Bengaluru cops claimed to have arrested her at the rave party  at a farmhouse near Electronics City on May 15,2024 and despite her denials filed chargesheet against her.

According to the latest, Hema got a relief in Karnataka High Court when Justice Hemant Chandangoudar stayed criminal proceedings against her temporarily. Hema's counsel challenged the charge sheet filed under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.

Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bengaluru filed the case after arresting Hema and testing positive for narcotics or psychotropic substances in their blood samples, police said. Hema is alleged in the charge sheet to have consumed MDMA, a synthetic drug.

Court posted the case for further hearing after four weeks.
