The 2006 comedy film Bhagam Bhag, starring Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal, was a box office success, minting Rs 67.34 crore at the ticket window. 18 years later, the film is finally getting a sequel. Bhagam Bhag 2 has been confirmed by its producers, Roaring River Productions and Shemaroo Entertainment.

The rights for Bhagam Bhag's sequel were recently acquired by Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions from Shemaroo Entertainment. She will co-produce the film along with the production house. Talking about the sequel, Sarita said, "Because a special film like Bhagam Bhag deserves a sequel that’s just as much special; when the time was right, we decided to take the plunge." Shemaroo Entertainment's CEO Hiren Gada also confirmed the development, stating that they are excited to partner with an incredible team to create a film that will continue the legacy of its predecessor.

The film is expected to go on floors by mid-2025. The makers have promised that Bhagam Bhag 2 will be 'madder, crazier and funnier'. Other details about the sequel, including the cast and crew, will be officially announced soon. The original film, released in 2006, also starred Arbaaz Khan, Jackie Shroff, Lara Dutta, Rajpal Yadav, Manoj Joshi, and more.

Bhagam Bhag 2 is one of the most anticipated sequels in Bollywood, and fans are eagerly waiting to see what the makers have in store for them. With its promise of being 'madder, crazier and funnier', Bhagam Bhag 2 is expected to be a laughter riot.
