SS Rajamouli is the face of Indian Cinema globally, earning an Oscar and captivating audiences with his imagination. Born into a film-related family, Rajamouli developed an interest in filmmaking, starting with TV serials before transitioning to films.
Rajamouli's directorial debut, Student No 1 (2001), starring NTR, was supervised by K Raghavendra Rao. Although a huge blockbuster, it didn't bring Rajamouli immediate fame. Rajamouli started pushing boundaries from his third film itself. He then made sports-based film SYE (2004) with Nithiin, followed by Chatrapathi (2005) with Prabhas, Vikramarkudu (2006) with Ravi Teja, and Yamadonga (2007) with NTR.
Magadheera (2009) emerged as a mighty success, raising the bar for regional cinema. Rajamouli continued innovating with Eega (2012), Baahubali 1 & 2 (2015-2017), and RRR (2022), which won an Oscar for Best Original Song, Naatu Naatu. His next project with Superstar Mahesh Babu promises to be even bigger.
