TFPC revokes redcard on Dhanush. Following a public dispute in July, Dhanush and the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) have reportedly reached a resolution, clearing the way for the actor to resume film projects.

The TFPC had issued a statement in July, citing Dhanush's failure to deliver films after receiving advance payments from multiple producers. The council had requested producers to consult with the TFPC before signing Dhanush for new projects.

The dispute stemmed from Dhanush's commitments to Thenandal Films and Five Star Creations, which had not materialized for various reasons. According to Asianet News, Dhanush has agreed to repay the advance amounts received from Five Star Creations with interest and has committed to starring in a film for Thenandal Films. These concessions have led to the revocation of Dhanush's "red card," which effectively banned him from working with TFPC members.

The TFPC has not yet released an official statement regarding the resolution.

Meanwhile, Dhanush is currently gearing up for the release of Sekhar Kammula's pan-Indian film "Kubera," co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna, and Jim Sarbh. He is also set to produce and direct his own film, "Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam."

The TFPC's July announcement regarding a halt to new film projects, effective August 16, and a complete shutdown of film-related activities from November 1, aimed to address the backlog of films and the escalating production costs. The council's decision to ban Dhanush had drawn criticism from Nadigar Sangam Treasurer Karthi, who expressed concern over the lack of consultation with the actors' association.

The TFPC responded by stating that they had informed the Nadigar Sangam a year ago about five top stars whose availability was causing production delays and headaches for producers.

The resolution of the dispute between Dhanush and the TFPC signals a potential easing of tensions within the Tamil film industry. The council's actions, however, raise questions about its approach to managing such issues and the importance of collaboration between industry bodies and actors.
