HYDRA Cracks Down on Encroachments: Jayabheri Group Faces Demolition Notice

HYDRA, Hyderabad's dedicated anti-encroachment task force, continues its relentless pursuit of illegal constructions along the city's riverbanks. Recent actions have targeted properties belonging to both political figures and celebrities, with the demolition of several encroachments making headlines.

The latest target of HYDRA's scrutiny is Jayabheri Group, owned by renowned actor and businessman Murali Mohan. The group received notices for a construction within the buffer zone of the Rangalalkunta lake, located in the heart of the city's financial district.

While Jayabheri has yet to respond officially, Murali Mohan, the company's founder and a former MP, actor, and producer, addressed the situation directly. He confirmed that HYDRA had issued notices but clarified that the group had not engaged in deliberate encroachment.

According to Mohan, HYDRA officials visited the site after receiving complaints from locals. They discovered a temporary shed extending up to 3 feet into the Rangalalkunta pond's buffer zone. Jayabheri, in response, is actively dismantling the shed.

Mohan emphasized Jayabheri's long-standing reputation as a reputable firm with a 33-year history of ethical practices in the real estate industry. He assured the public that the shed would be removed by Tuesday evening, reiterating their commitment to complying with the 15-day deadline given by HYDRA.

The news of HYDRA's notices has sparked public debate, highlighting the issue of illegal constructions and the potential for even prominent companies to fall foul of regulations. The Rangalalkunta pond is a focal point of the city's anti-encroachment drive, with FTL, the city's development authority, committed to demolishing any structures within the buffer zone.

HYDRA Commissioner Ranganath reiterated the urgency of addressing these violations, emphasizing the importance of immediate action against any encroachments. The 15-day deadline imposed on Jayabheri serves as a stern warning, with HYDRA prepared to take direct action if the group fails to comply.
