Happy BirthDay To King Nagarjuna

Akkineni Nagarjuna, son of legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao, was born with a silver spoon. However, he chose to carve his own path in the film industry, rather than relying on his father's legacy. Nagarjuna began his acting career as a child, appearing in films like Sudigundalu (1967) and Velugu Needalu. He made his debut as a hero in 1986 with Vikram, a remake of the 1983 Hindi film Hero.

Rise to Stardom

Nagarjuna's early films, such as Majnu, Aakhari Poratam, and Janaki Ramudu, established him as a leading actor in Telugu cinema. However, it was his 1989 films, Geethanjali and Shiva, that changed the course of his career and Telugu cinema forever. Geethanjali portrayed him as a new-age lover, while Shiva showcased him as a hot-blooded youngster. These films cemented his position as a trendsetter in the industry.

He also ventured into production, with films like Ninne Pelladatha, which won the National Award for Best Telugu Film. His devotional films, Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu, showcased his versatility as an actor.

Recent Work and Upcoming Projects

In recent years, Nagarjuna has impressed audiences with films like Soggade Chinni Nayana, Oopiri, and Manam, which featured his entire family. He has also made a mark as a successful host, with shows like Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu and Bigg Boss Telugu. His upcoming film, Kubera, co-starring Dhanush and Rashmika Mandanna, promises to be a Pan-India blockbuster.

As Nagarjuna celebrates his birthday today, CineJosh wishes him many more trendsetting years ahead. Happy Birthday to the King of Telugu cinema!
