Sitara says she bunks classes due to Mahesh Babu. Mahesh Babu's daughter, Sitara Ghattamaneni, recently opened up about her life with the superstar, revealing that she often "bunks" school thanks to her father's persuasive charm.
In an interview, the 12-year-old shared that Mahesh often convinces her mother, Namrata Shirodkar, to let her skip school when he's free. "Half the time I bunk school is because of my dad. On days he doesn't have work...I don't know how he does it; he persuades my mother to let me not go to school. It's great and lovely, we have fun together," Sitara said.
Despite seeing her father as a hero on screen, she enjoys the simple joy of spending time with him at home. "I watch all his films in theatres, I recently watched Murari when it re-released. Honestly, everyone thinks of my dad as a hero. I feel that way when I watch his films. But at home, he's just my dad," she added.
Sitara also revealed that both she and her brother, Gautham, share their parents' passion for acting. Gautham, who made his screen debut as a child in "1: Nenokkadine", is currently pursuing a drama course at New York University and is set to follow in his father's footsteps. Sitara herself is taking acting classes and has overcome her stage fright. "I'm waiting for the time he (Gautham) plays the hero role. He's definitely going to be an actor. I already go to acting classes too. I used to have stage fright a year back, but I’m over it now," she shared.
Mahesh Babu was last seen in "Guntur Kaaram," directed by Trivikram Srinivas, which released this Sankranthi. He is currently gearing up for his highly anticipated collaboration with SS Rajamouli, an action-adventure film penned by Vijayendra Prasad. The project's cast and crew are yet to be unveiled.
