While promoting his upcoming film "Saripodha Sanivaram" at a Q&A event in Hyderabad, Nani shared his deep admiration for the 1986 detective comedy "Chantabbai," starring the legendary Chiranjeevi. Nani confessed that he holds the film in such high regard that he and director Nag Ashwin had envisioned a reboot of the classic.

However, fate had other plans. The release of "Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya," a film that shared some similarities with "Chantabbai," led to the duo shelving their reboot plans. Despite this, Nani remains a huge fan of the original, believing it would resonate with modern audiences.

He shared, "Nagi and I wanted to reboot Chantabbai. But then, Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya came out. That movie was somewhat similar to Chantabbai, so we abandoned those plans. But Chantabbai is such a nice film. It is a film that audience of this day and age will enjoy so much."

Adding to the excitement, Nani also announced that he will be unveiling his next project a week after the release of "Saripodha Sanivaram." Fans eagerly await the announcement, hoping for another captivating role from the versatile actor.
