Karthi Supports Dhanush Over TFPC Ban

The Nadigar Sangam, a prominent South Indian artists' association, has expressed strong opposition to the Tamil Film Producers Council's (TFPC) decision to ban actor Dhanush without consulting them. Karthi, Karunas, and Poochi Murugan addressed the press on behalf of the Nadigar Sangam, stating that the TFPC's move is unacceptable and goes against the usual protocol of mutual agreement between the two organizations.

Karthi emphasized that the Nadigar Sangam was not informed about any complaints against Dhanush, and the sudden decision to ban him is unjust. He also mentioned that the decision will affect not just actors but also numerous workers in the industry. The Nadigar Sangam's Chairman Nassar and Secretary Vishal were consulted before making this statement to the press.

The TFPC's decision to halt film-related activities from November 1 and stop new projects from commencing from August 16 has also been met with opposition from the Nadigar Sangam. The TFPC's statement, which called out Dhanush and asked producers to consult them before working with him, has been seen as an attempt to exert control over the actor's career.

The Nadigar Sangam has called for a meeting of all Tamil film associations to come to a mutual agreement on the matter.
