Rajinikanth praises Kamal Haasan Indian2. Superstar Rajinikanth returned to Chennai on July 21, following a trip to Kerala, and gave fans a glimpse into his upcoming projects. While interacting with the media at the airport, he shared updates on "Coolie" and "Vettaiyan," and offered praise for his friend Kamal Haasan's recent release, "Indian 2".

Regarding "Coolie," Rajinikanth confirmed that shooting is progressing smoothly. When asked about "Indian 2," he stated that he had seen the film and found it to be "good."

The release date for "Vettaiyan" is now up in the air. While Rajinikanth had previously stated an October 10th release for the Dussehra holiday, producer K.E. Gnanavel Raja of Suriya's "Kanguva" has also announced an October 10th release date for his film. Gnanavel Raja expressed that he would not clash with Rajinikanth's film, indicating that "Vettaiyan" might be pushed to a Diwali release. Rajinikanth himself acknowledged that the release date is still being finalized, but that dubbing work is underway.

"Vettaiyan," directed by T.J. Gnanavel ("Jai Bhim"), features a powerhouse cast including Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan. The film is backed by Lyca Productions and boasts music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by S.R. Kathir, and editing by Philomin Raj.
