Fahadh Faasil, the renowned actor from Mollywood, is currently enjoying the tremendous triumph of his most recent movie, Aavesham. He has gained popularity among Telugu viewers for his portrayal in Pushpa: The Rise alongside Allu Arjun. Fahadh is all set to revisit his character in Pushpa 2: The Rule, scheduled to hit the big screens on December 6, 2024.
Last year when his film Dhoomam was announced by Hombale Films which made 'KGF' films and Kantara, it became quite a sensation. Also the film was directed by Pawan Kumar who is known for Pathbreaking Kannada films Lucia and U Turn. The film was announced to have a simultaneous release in Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. Promotions were also carried out. But, during the last minute it only released in Malayalam.
Dhoomam, did not manage to engage viewers upon its cinema release. Subsequently, the movie was released on various platforms such as Apple TV+, the producers’ YouTube channel, and BookMyShow Stream in different languages, including Telugu. The most recent development indicates that a Telugu dubbed version of Dhoomam will be launched on Aha, catering to Telugu audiences. This suspenseful thriller is scheduled to premiere on the OTT platform on July 11, 2024.
Dhoomam features prominent roles for Aparna Balamurali, Roshan Mathew, Achyuth Kumar, and Vineeth. Poornachandra Tejaswi SV created the soundtrack. Fahadh took on a sales executive role for a tobacco company in the film. However, his character gets caught up in a story of vengeance and is forced to carry out a series of tasks to save his wife from a life-threatening situation. The underlying message of the movie Dhoomam revolves around the harmful effects of both active and passive smoking.
