Samantha misleading people, doctors attack her. Samantha Ruth Prabhu's recent Instagram story recommending hydrogen peroxide nebulization as an "alternative approach" to treating viral infections has sparked widespread criticism from medical experts, who warn of the practice's potential dangers.

Dr. Rituja Ugalmugle, an internal medicine specialist at Wockhardt Hospitals in Mumbai, emphasized the significant risks associated with hydrogen peroxide nebulization. "Hydrogen peroxide is generally not recommended for nebulization due to its potential to cause oxidative stress, mucosal irritation, and other serious respiratory issues," she explained. The doctor cautioned that inhaling hydrogen peroxide can lead to acute lung injury, chemical burns, and even an increased risk of infection if non-sterile solutions are used.

Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips, known as "The Liver Doc", was even more critical, initially labeling Samantha "health and science illiterate" for promoting this dangerous practice. He argued that in a scientifically progressive society, such actions could endanger public health and warrant legal consequences. While he has since modified his stance and removed the call for arrest, his initial criticism reflects the severity of the concerns raised by medical professionals.

In response to the backlash, Samantha shared links to YouTube videos featuring doctors who advocate for hydrogen peroxide nebulization. However, the overwhelming medical consensus remains firmly against this approach. The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America has explicitly warned against the practice, stating it is "dangerous" during the COVID-19 times.

Despite the concerns raised by numerous medical experts, Samantha appears to remain steadfast in her stance, putting her millions of followers at potential risk. This incident highlights the importance of seeking reliable medical advice from qualified professionals and the potential dangers of relying on unverified information, even from prominent figures.
