Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming film "Vettaiyan" may be shifting its release date to avoid a box office clash with Suriya's "Kanguva," both initially scheduled for October 10, 2024.

While Rajinikanth himself confirmed a October 10, 2024 release for "Vettaiyan" a month ago, the recent announcement of "Kanguva's" release on the same date came as a surprise. Industry insiders now suggest that "Vettaiyan" may be pushed to Diwali, allowing "Kanguva" a solo release.

An official confirmation from the makers of "Vettaiyan" is expected soon. The potential for a clash between two major releases could significantly impact both films' box office performance, making a postponement the most strategic option.

"Vettaiyan," directed by TJ Gnanavel, boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, GM Sundar, Rohini, and Rao Ramesh.
