Vijayendra Prasad project on RSS to be high on budget. Back in 2018, news broke of a highly ambitious project: a film tracing the history of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) penned by renowned screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad, known for his work on the cinematic behemoths "Baahubali" and "RRR." Initially planned for a pre-2019 general election release and backed by a BJP leader, the project faced delays, its reasons remaining undisclosed.

A few years later, Prasad, who was also slated to direct the film, revealed in an interview that the RSS film was still on track for a release before the 2024 general elections. However, the project remained in limbo, sparking speculation about its future.

Now, fresh updates indicate that the script, meticulously researched and crafted by Prasad, is finally complete. The film is set to begin production in the second half of 2023, aiming for a 2025 release, coinciding with the RSS's centenary celebrations.

With a staggering budget of Rs. 450 crores, the film promises to be a grand spectacle, capturing the essence of the RSS's legacy. The cast is expected to feature prominent actors from both Bollywood and the South Indian film industries, with further details regarding the cast and crew to be announced shortly.
