Vijay Sethupathi startling revelations on Viduthalai 2

The Tamil film Viduthalai, starring Soori in the lead role, emerged as a huge blockbuster. The film was also released in Telugu under the title Vidudhala. Directed by Vetrimaaran, the film featured Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist. The sequel to this cop action drama has been in the making for a long time.

In the first part, Vijay Sethupathi had limited screen time, but he will be seen in a full-length role in the second installment. In a recent interview, Vijay Sethupathi revealed that his character will have a love track in Viduthalai 2, with Manju Warrier playing his love interest. He further mentioned that he requested the director not to edit the love portions in the final version.

Given the success of the first part, the makers have enhanced the scale and budget for the sequel, contributing to the project's delay. Viduthalai 2 is a joint production of RS Infotainment and Grassroot Film Company. The film also features Bhavani Sre, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajeev Menon, and Chethan in significant roles. The legendary Ilaiyaraaja is composing the music.
