Tollywood Pins Hopes On March Releases. Usually, February, and March- after the Sankranthi season, are considered as the dry period for the movie business. As audience gets involved with their work as the financial year ends in March. While employees are busy with office work, on the other hand, youth also confirm themselves for examinations. So, no big film will be scheduled to be released during this period. This time too we have witnessed only medium to low-budget films during February.

After Blockbuster HanuMan, and recently performed Guntur Kaaram, Tollywood is yet to witness a solid success. Suhas Starrer, Ambajipeta Marriage Band, and Sundeep Kishan starrer Ooru Peru Bhairavakona registered somewhat decent collections and were used for feeding theatres. Other than those, no film survived its first weekend at the box office.

Ravi Teja's Eagle and Varun Teja's Operation Valentine were the two big films those got released post-Sankranthi. Eagle registered good numbers for its opening weekend but crashed on its first Monday and never recovered. Operation Valentine's story is much worse. The film which was released with good promotions and a grand pre release event where Chiranjeevi showered praises on the team for their hardwork, the film failed to get even notable openings. It all went downhill for the film right from the second day itself.

Now, Tollywood is eyeing for upcoming releases, Bhimaa and Gaami which are scheduled to release for Maha Shivaratri on 8th March. While Bhimaa is an out and commercial film, Gaami is an experimental film which shot lavishly. Another notable films releasing this March are, Sree Vishnu, Rahul Ramakrishna and Priyadarshi starrer Om Bheem Bush which is slated to release on 22nd March and Siddhu's Tillu Square which is the sequel to superhit, DJ Tillu. Tollywood is pinning hopes on these four films to work big at the boxoffice. Let's see which film will provide the respite.
