Whenever a film is being made based on true events or personalities. They are bound to be honest and true to the source material. Especially when those involving the Indian Defense system, following a set of regulations and securing necessary permissions are at utmost importance. The Ministry of Defence marked strict rules in place to protect the sensitivity of such matters.

Operation Valentine, starring Varun Tej and Manushi Chhillar, is about the Indian Air Force's role in the Balakot airstrike following the 2019 Pulwama attack. The Ministry of Defence rejected 15 scripts related to the Pulwama attack before finally approving the script for Operation Valentine.

Ministry of Defence was impressed by the quality of the script and the realistic approach of the filmmakers behind Operation Valentine. They even granted permission for the film to be shot at a highly secured Air Force base in Gwalior, extending their support for the project. 

Directed by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, Operation Valentine is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 1, in both Telugu and Hindi languages. Sony Pictures along with Renaissance Pictures bankrolled the film.
