Dhanush's upcoming film 'Captain Miller' which is scheduled to release on 12th January globally has been eagerly awaited by movie enthusiasts. One of the main reasons was the film marks first collaboration between versatile Dhanush and talented director Arun Matheswaran. The film which is being made as a period film with revolution as a backdrop has been mounted on a massive scale.
The film which was supposed to release simultaneously in Telugu too, has been pushed to a later date. Now, it is releasing only in Tamil. The periodic action drama has been censored with UA with a duration of 2 Hours 37 Minutes. Meanwhile, the story of 'Captain Miller' has been doing rounds on social media.
'Captain Miller' story is about a militant who fights against the British-led Indian military after witnessing an atrocity. That particular incident transforms Dhanush from being a sincere militant to a fiery revolutionist. Dhanush's role is based on a real life character Vallipuram Vasanthan. He is commonly known by the nom de guerre Captain Miller was a Sri Lankan Tamil member of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), a separatist Tamil militant organisation in Sri Lanka. He was the LTTE's first Black Tiger.
Dhanush 'Captain Miller' is clashing with Sivakarthikeyan's 'Ayalaan' and Arun Vijay's 'Mission' at the box office, and the three biggies of different genres are going to turn the Kollywood audience busy for this Pongal. The Tamil Pongal releases might get permission from the Tamil Nadu government to have an additional show in the state for the first few days.
