Three fans lose life on Yash B-Day. Tragedy struck Soranagi village in Gadag district as three lives were lost due to electrocution during the installation of a birthday cutout honoring renowned film star Yash of KGF fame. The incident, which occurred around 11.30 pm on Sunday, cast a shadow over the celebratory atmosphere.
Yash's birthday, slated for January 8, prompted a gathering of around 20 enthusiastic fans who sought to erect a cutout in the actor's honor. However, the celebratory occasion took a devastating turn when the cutout accidentally made contact with an overhead electric line, resulting in the electrocution of three individuals – Hanumanta (21), Murali (20), and Naveen (19). Several others sustained injuries during the unfortunate incident.
Gadag SP Babasab Nemagoud informed reporters, "Three youths lost their lives while attempting to set up a cutout around midnight at Soranagi village in Lakshmeshwar of Gadag district. The metal frame of the cutout came into contact with the power line, leading to the electrocution. A case has been registered at Lakshmeshwar station." An investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
In the wake of this sorrowful incident, some villagers have expressed a wish for actor Yash to visit the village, viewing it as a gesture of support and solidarity during this challenging time. MLC Chandru Lamani visited the hospital, offering condolences and speaking to the relatives of the victims, emphasizing the community's grief and need for support. The incident serves as a poignant reminder of the risks associated with such celebratory endeavors, prompting authorities and communities to prioritize safety measures in future events.
