Nayan Annapoorni creates a controversy. Nayanthara's latest film, "Annapoorni," has become embroiled in controversy following the inclusion of a contentious remark about Lord Ram. Recently released on Netflix, the film showcases Nayanthara in the titular role and has garnered mixed reviews. However, Ramesh Solanki, a former Shiv Sena leader, has lodged a police complaint against the film, alleging that it has offended the sentiments of the Hindu community.
Expressing his concerns on X, formerly known as Twitter, Solanki accused the film of being 'anti-Hindu' and highlighted specific scenes, one of which implies that Lord Ram was a 'meat eater.' In his social media post, Solanki shared a copy of his complaint, stating, "I have filed a complaint against #AntiHinduZee and #AntiHinduNetflix. At a time when the whole world is rejoicing in anticipation of the Pran Pratishtha of Bhagwan Shri Ram Mandir, this anti-Hindu film 'Annapoorani' has been released on Netflix, produced by Zee Studios, Naad Studios, and Trident Arts."
He outlined the scenes he found objectionable, noting, "1. A daughter of a Hindu Poojari offers Namaz to cook Biryani. 2. Love Jihad is promoted in this film. 3. Farhan (Actor) persuades the actress to eat meat, claiming that Bhagwan Shri Ram was also a meat eater. @NetflixIndia and @ZeeStudios_ have deliberately made this film and released it around the Pran Pratishtha to hurt Hindu sentiments."
Solanki appealed to the Mumbai Police and Maharashtra Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis to take necessary actions against the film, emphasizing the need for intervention in response to the perceived affront to Hindu sentiments.
