Shah Rukh is keen on doing age-real roles. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, in a recent revelation, provided insights into his upcoming project following Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki. The actor shared that he is set to embrace a more age-appropriate role, signaling a deliberate shift in his cinematic choices.
Speaking with Raya Abirached, SRK shared, "I will start one in March, April now. I am attempting now to do a film which is more age-real to me, and play it still as the protagonist and as the star of the film."
During the engaging conversation, Shah Rukh Khan delved into what attracted him to Dunki, expressing, "To be honest, what draws you to a Rajkumar Hirani film is Rajkumar Hirani, and it’s a very heartfelt film."
Dunki unfolds with Shah Rukh Khan portraying both a young man and a more mature character, offering a nuanced portrayal. As his third film of the year, following the resounding success of Pathaan and Jawan, Dunki marks a departure from action-packed narratives, leaning towards the realm of a social entertainer—a characteristic genre in the lineage of Hirani's cinematic repertoire.
Notably, Pathaan and Jawan showcased Shah Rukh Khan in dynamic action roles, whereas Dunki promises a different cinematic experience. Alongside SRK, the film boasts a stellar cast featuring Taapsee Pannu and Boman Irani in pivotal roles, with Vicky Kaushal making a notable cameo appearance.
As Shah Rukh Khan ventures into this new phase of his cinematic journey, audiences are undoubtedly eager to witness the unfolding of his age-real character in this upcoming project. With the versatility he brings to each role, the anticipation for this film is heightened, promising another memorable addition to his illustrious career.
