The makers have recently unveiled the film's first song, titled "Punnara Kattile Poovanatthil," adding to the excitement surrounding the project.

The enchanting song, sung by Shreekumar Vakkiyil and Abhaya Hiranmayi, boasts a captivating composition by Prashant Pillai. The poignant lyrics, penned by P. S. Rafeeque, beautifully revive the delightful love that once united two young hearts. Upon its release on YouTube, the song rapidly gained popularity, amassing over 54,000 views within half an hour. "Punnara Kattile Poovanatthil" not only showcases the mesmerizing melody but also provides a glimpse into Mohanlal's character, leaving fans enthralled. The overwhelming response has already fueled high expectations, with fans eagerly anticipating the film to surpass the records set by Mohanlal's previous ventures.

Directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, "Malaikottai Valiban" is among the highly anticipated films of 2024. Mohanlal is set to portray the role of a nomadic wrestler in this period action film, which unfolds against the backdrop of the pre-independence era.

Scheduled to hit theaters on January 25, the film features an ensemble cast, including Sonalee Kulkarni, Hareesh Peradi, Katha Nandi, Danish Sait, Manoj Moses, and Manikandan Achari in pivotal roles. The project is jointly produced by John & Mary Creative, Maxlab Cinemas and Entertainments, Yoodlee Films, Century Films, and Amen Movie Monastery. Cinematographer Madhu Neelakandan captures the essence of the film, shot across Chennai, Pondicherry, and Rajasthan.
