Director Lokesh Kanagaraj's much-talked-about cinematic universe (LCU) is about to its origin story in the form of a short film. Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) has been the best thing that happened to the Kollywood industry in the last few years and the fans are keen to know what is in store for them next.
As reported earlier Karthi's "Kaithi 2" will be the next full-fledged film in the LCU but before that, a 10-minute short film about its origin will be released. Interestingly, "Kaithi" was the first film in the LCU, followed by Kamal Haasan's "Vikram", and Thalapathy Vijay's "Leo".
Narain, the renowned actor in Tamil and Malayalam cinema, said in a press conference revealed that for the upcoming Malayalam film "Queen Elizabeth" that he is collaborating with Lokesh on a brief 10-minute short film that unveils the origin story of LCU and it will be released before "Kaithi 2" which begins late 2024.
It is widely known that the last film in the LCU was "Leo", released in October this year. The next film, "Kaithi 2" will mainly focus on the back story of Karthi's character Dilli. After "Kaithi 2", a standalone movie about Suriya's Rolex from "Vikram" will be made, and the last film in the LCU is said to be "Vikram 2".
