Young Director Sailesh Kolanu who earned fame with highly successful 'HIT' films is now making a huge action thriller 'Saindhav' with Victory Venkatesh. The film is slated to release for Sankranthi On 13th January. Sailesh is currently busy with Saindhav promotions along with Venkatesh. He has completed whirlwind tour of Vijayawada and Guntur promoting the film, a couple of days ago.
Meanwhile, Sailesh's latest post on X, draws everyone's attention. He posted about Kamal Haasan's cult film, 'Abhay' after watching it in a theatre during its current Re-Release. Sailesh even named his son, Abhay out of his love for Kamal Haasan. Abhay is the Telugu dubbed version of Tamil's Alavandhan directed by Suresh Krissna while Kamal Haasan has penned the story and screenplay for the film.
Sailesh writes, " I still remember the heart breaking feeling of not being able to watch #Abhay in theatres as I had just moved to Hyderabad back in the late nineties. Finally after two decades of being in love with Kamal sir’s work and even naming my son as Abhay, I got to watch this movie in the theatre today. What an experience !! @ikamalhaasan sir even if I think for a lifetime I don’t think I will find enough words to thank you. Thanks for existing."
Sailesh Kolanu is a Greta fan of Kamal Haasan. He even uses references of Kamal Haasan in his films. His directorial, 'HIT 2' starring Adivi Sesh also has many Kamal references in it. There is a name board of a shop reads as 'Abhay Steels' in a chase from the film. Another one is a Nayagan poster used in a pub in the film.
