Pruthiviraj Joins Ensemble Cast Of Thalaivar 171

After Blockbuster 'Jailer', Superstar Rajinikanth has announced, Thalaivar 171. The project marks the reunion of Jailer combo - Rajini, music composer Anirudh Ravichander and production banner Sun Pictures. Lokesh Kangaraj who was initially set to do a film with Rajinikanth under Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International, finally gets to direct Rajinikanth in Thalaivar 171. 

Lokesh is bringing back his favourite collaborators i.e. stunt duo Anbariv for Thalaivar 171. Lokesh recently revealed that Thalaivar 171 will not be a part of LCU, rather it will be a standalone movie. He also revealed that he likes Rajini's old films where his characters used to have grey shades and Rajinikanth's character will follow those traits in his latest film.

Malayalam Hero Onboard For Thalaivar 171

While the movie is expected to go on floors in 2024, latest update suggests that Mollywood Hero, director Prithiviraj Sukumaran will be cast in the film. Official announcement regarding this will be out soon. Prithviraj is playing a crucial role in Prabhas's Salaar. It is unclear whether his role in Thalaivar 171 is an antagonist or key role. 

Thalaivar 171 begins shooting in April, 2024. On the other hand Rajinikanth has done with Lal Salaam directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth and is gearing up to release for Pongal. He is busy with shooting for Thalaivar 170.
