Leo Will Stream On Netflix From Nov 24

Thalapathy Vijay's latest blockbuster, Leo, which emerged as highest grosser in Tamil Nadu by amassing RS 600+ Crores gross worldwide and enjoyed a glorious run in theaters, is now gearing up for its digital premiere. The film's the streaming rights were grabbed by OTT giant Netflix. In an announcement on Monday, Netflix disclosed the eagerly awaited OTT release dates for Leo across India and the global audience. The film is set to debut on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

The makers of Leo have made a four-week agreement with Netflix. This has led them to forego screening the film in Hindi national Plexes as they have a rule only to screen films which has six week window between theatrical and OTT release. The film is poised to hit Netflix in India on November 24, with a global OTT release scheduled for November 28. 

'Leo' is inspired by John Wagner's graphic novel "A History of Violence," which is also remade as a popular Hollywood film. The film features a stellar cast including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Trisha, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Madonna Sebastian, George Maryan, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, and Mathew Thomas alongside Vijay.

Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has opened to.mixed reviews upon its release on October 19, 2023. Vijay's stardom, craze surrounding the LCU franchise and Anirudh's pounding music made the film a blockbuster at the ticket windows. Helming aside, Lokesh Kanagaraj co-wrote the film with Rathna Kumar, and Deeraj Vaidy. Leo is Bankrolled by S. S. Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy.
