Samyuktha on her debut with Chaari 111. Having established herself with a handful of Tamil films, Samyuktha Viola Viswanathan is now poised to make her Telugu debut as the female lead in "Chari 111," a spy thriller directed by T.G. Keerthi Kumar and produced by Aditi Soni, featuring Vennela Kishore.
Expressing her excitement about entering the dynamic world of Tollywood, Samyuktha says, "It feels great to be part of such a happening industry. I couldn't have asked for a better launch than making my debut in a spy thriller, and with a substantial role at that."
While she remains tight-lipped about the details of her character, Samyuktha hints at the presence of several action sequences in her role. Her journey to this point is intriguing—starting with ballet at the age of four, she encountered a setback due to a ligament tear that led to surgery during her college years. Despite the physical challenges, she persevered in practicing ballet, Bharatanatyam, and other dance forms.
During college, Samyuktha actively engaged in stage plays, eventually transitioning to short films and ad commercials. Despite initial reservations about theater, she discovered the joy of performing arts and drama, leading her to pursue a master's degree in Performance Studies at New York University (NYU). Her one-year acting conservatory at Michael Howard Studios and participation in theater plays in the United States added depth to her skills. The pandemic disrupted her plans to return to the US, prompting a shift in focus to films.
Reflecting on her time at NYU, Samyuktha credits the program with providing clarity about her career goals and understanding the director's perspective. The experience equipped her with a framework for preparing for roles, emphasizing the importance of authenticity and minimal overthinking in portraying characters.
"You cannot lie to the camera," asserts Samyuktha, who has discovered her true calling in films. While acknowledging the liveliness of theater, she describes films as "organized chaos" with a smile, concluding her journey from dance to drama and ultimately finding fulfillment in the world of cinema.
