Shruti Haasan on marriage pressures.,catfights. Shruti Haasan is a remarkable individual who fearlessly speaks her mind. As the daughter of Kamal Haasan, she has established herself as a multi-talented artist in various fields, including music and acting. Her recent release, the third single titled 'Monster Machine,' showcases her embracing the darker aspects of femininity with unapologetic grace. In an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in, the actress delved into how her mid-30s have brought about significant changes in her life and why she refuses to partake in catfights.

Reflecting on her personal transformation during the early days of her career, Shruti Haasan shared, "I did change. I wouldn't call it courage, as this is who I am now, and I had no other option. This transformation stemmed from reaching a breaking point within myself. I've been candid about it. Nothing around me was resonating with who I truly was because I wasn't in alignment with myself. So, I took the time to dismantle and rebuild myself, and that's when I confronted my 'monster.' Instead of shying away from it, I allowed it to surface and coexist."

Describing her journey through her 30s as a pivotal phase, the actress remarked, "I experienced a profound shift after turning 30. Now, in my mid-30s, I feel a sense of tranquility. During that time, people started insinuating that my prime had passed, which created a lot of pressure. They'd ask, 'When are you getting married?' and I'd think, 'Oh God.' After entering my 30s, I realized that none of this was my concern, and I began to relish life more."

Shruti on Marriage and Catfights

Discussing the topic of catfights, inspired by Kareena Kapoor Khan's recent comments on the competitive environment for women in their 30s, Shruti shared her perspective, "I have never engaged in catfights because when a woman puts down another, she's essentially undermining not just her peer but the entire sisterhood. That's always been my stance."

The actress of 'Salaar' fame continued, "After reaching one's 30s, perspectives change, and the things of significance begin to evolve. It doesn't necessarily mean becoming a wife or a mother. For someone like me, those roles aren't my current priorities; it's about taking the next significant step in my professional journey." Shruti Haasan's upcoming project is Prabhas' 'Salaar,' directed by Prashanth Neel, renowned for 'KGF.'
