The members of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, who met here for an emergency meeting here on Tuesday decided to postpone the Group I preliminary examination to August 29.
The Group I exams are scheduled to be held on July 25. In view of the ensuing by-elections to the 12 segments in Telangana region this action had been tken.
According to Appsc chairman Venkatrameddy, te leaders of Jont Action Committee had met him on Monday and requested hm to postpone the examination in view of the forthcoming by elections.
The list of vacancies for group II executive posts will be finalised and submitted to the Government by tomorrow, he added.
