Latha, Rosaiah, Governor at Tirupati concert

Tirupati, Jan 30: Chief Minister K Rosaiah and Governor ESL Narasimhan were present at a concert presented by popular playback singer Lata Mangeshkar here on Saturday.Lata Mangeshkar, who visited Tirupati to have a darshan, dedicated a CD comprising seven Annamaya hymns to  the Lord of Seven Hills.The  CM  after  having consultations with the district officials and local Congress leaders left  for the Golden Temple at Vellore (Tamil Nadu).

Rosaiah is  expected to be back in Tirupati on Sunday to take part in various programmes.Among the dignitaries who attended the concerts are  Madhya Pradesh  Governor Rameshwar Thakur, Pradesh Congress president  D Srinivas, ministers Dharmana Prasada Rao, and Gade Venkat Reddy.In view of the VVIPs' visit to the temple town, police forces have been deployed and tight security arrangements made at the guesthouses where the VIPs are lodged.
