NTTPS Vijayawada gets award

Hyderabad, Jan 23: The Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (Apgenco) on Saturday stated that the Dr NTTPS Vijayawada station has been selected for the Meritorious Performance Award under Thermal-I category by the Union Power Ministry for 2008-09.

The Dr NTTPS station has an installed capacity of 1260 MW, had generated 1,0341MU during 2008-09 and achieved a plant load factor of 93.7 per cent. It also recorded heat rate of 2,321 Kcal/kwh and availability of 95.1 per cent during 2008-09, according to the press release.
