Hyderabad, Dec 25: Although Telangana Rashtra Samiti decided to relax the 48-hour bandh in view of the X-Mas celebrations on Friday, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation is yet to resume its servicess awaiting a nod from the police.The commuters and passengers are inconvenienced as the transport corporation failed to operate its services to far off places.The RTC cancelled its services to the Telangana region for two days beginning Thursday following the 48-hour bandh call given by TRS following the announcement of Union Home Minister P Chidambaram onTelangana.
The RTC also suspended its services to Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra fearing attack on its fleet. The RTC suspended its services to Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Rajamundry, Kakinada and all districts in the Rayalaseema region.The irate commuters on Friday picked up an argument with RTC officials at Mahatma Gandhi bus station and demanded resumption of long-distance buses.However, the officials said they were waiting for a police nod to resume buses. They said buses to Rangareddy, Medak and Adilabad districts would be reoperated in a phased manner.
