Additional forces to be deployed where necessary: IGP

Hyderabad,Dec 24: Additional forces which were being brought to the state would not only be deployed in Hyderabad but also sent to other parts of the state to bring the law and order situation under control, state Inspector General of Police Anuradha on Thursday.

Addressing media persons, the IGP said 50 buses have been damaged since Wednesday night by agitators. She said three of the five buses which were burnt in Hyderabad belonged to the state-run Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation while two belonged to private operators.She added that 34 of the 50 buses were damaged by irate mobs within city limits, eight buses in Karimnagar, 3 each in Adilabad and Warangal while one bus each was damaged in Medak and Nizamabad districts.
