Polio eradication drive for street kids

Hyderabad,Dec 18: With a view to completely eradicating the dreaded Polio from the country, Polio drops will be administered to the children in the age group of 0-5 years in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits on January 10, 2007 and February 7,2010.Announcing this,district Medical and Health Officer Dr Jayakumari said Polio drops would be administered from 82 medical centres within GHMC limits. She said special focus would be on streetchildren and migrant labour families, who generally tend to neglect their wards and not avail of the programme.She said a drive to create awareness among these citizens would be taken up.
