TDP bus yatra for unity

Tirupati,Dec 18: Raising their voice of dissent against the division of the state,Telugu Desam legislators from the Coastal and Rayalaseema regions on Friday launched ‘Samaikya Andhra Sadhana Yatra’ by Bus.The people’s representatives raised slogans against the Telangana state plan and favouring United State.They paid floral tributes at the statue of  Potti Sriramulu at Ruia Hospital before launching the bus yatra. Later the leaders garlanded the statue of former chief minister N T Rama Rao.

The journey by bus espousing the cause of united Andhra would pass through Chittoor, Anantapur, Kurnool, Kadapa, Nellore, Prakasam, Guntur, Krishna, West and East Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and culminate in Srikakulam on Dec 28.The people’s representatives will meet leaders, employees and students, who are staging rallies, dharnas and relay fasts for the united Andhra Pradesh cause and extend their solidarity with them.According to TDP sources, the district units have been asked to take permission from the police for plying three vans fitted with mikes and loudspeakers to enable these leaders to address the people on their way.
