SC verdict on OMC awaited: Chief Secy

Hyderabad, Nov 25 (INN): State Chief Secretary P Ramakantha Reddy on Wednesday asssured the media that the government would honour the decision by the Supreme Court on the mining operations undertaken by the Obulapuram Mining Company Private Limited.Addressing media persons, the Chief Secretary said the government had asked the Centre to investigate the OMC mining operations by the Central Bureau of Investigation.

A response to this request was awaited,Reddy said. However, there was no change in the stand of the state government on the OMC issue, he clarified.Ramakantha Reddy said the government was awaiting verdict of the Supreme Court on the report of the Central Empowered Committee and would act immediately after the Apex Court delivered its verdict.
