Six of family killed in road mishap

Nellore,Nov 23: In a ghastly Road Mishap, six of a family returning from a wedding died on National Highway near the Children’s Park here, while two others succumbed to their injuries at the hospital on Sunday night.According to police,the mishap occurred after a qualis van rammed a stationary lorry,killing the six on the spot.The deceased belonged to Vinukonda in Guntur district.

The marriage party was heading towards Vinukonda in Guntur district after attending the wedding at Tirumala by the qualis on Sunday,the police said.However,the newly weds K Venugopal and Madhulatha were safe as they were travelling in a tempo van.The deceased were identified as K Anjaneyulu(father of Venugopal),K Pushpavathi (mother),Srikanth (brother of Venugopal),Ramesh (venugopal’s uncle),Addemma (grandmother of venugopal),Athmakuri Subbaratnamma,Koteswara Rao and the van driver.
