The Hundi collection crossed the Rs One crore mark on the second day of the Brahmotsavam-2009. The total collection was Rs 1.16 crore including Rs 74,266 from Arjitha sevas and Rs 13,12,511 from sale of laddus etc. The revenue from rent of rooms and cottages shot upto Rs 5,61,600 .
As per records on Wednesday almost 78,715 persons had darshan of Lord Venkateswara of which free darshan was 58,862. While 22,124 devotes undertook tonsuring at the Kalyana Katta, 67,221 enjoyed free meals served by the TTD under the Nitya Annadadam scheme. Nearly one lakh laddus were sold and 53,417 laddus were distributed freely and 4,000 pilgrims enjoyed the free, medical facility and the nearly 22,000 pilgrims came up walk while another 41,000 came by RTC bus besides another 31,000 by private vehicles.
