Unlike Dada Giri and Gandhi Giri, this generation must follow ‘Anna’ Giri based on pure Gandhian policies to make bad bow before good. Yes, Social Activist Anna Hazare won the war against corruption as ruling government agreed to almost all the demands on Lokpal Bill.

Accordingly Anna declared to call off the fast today at 10:30 AM after government issues an order on the committee to re-draft the Lokpal Bill. Here is news that Government agreed to form a 10 member joint committee to re-draft the Lokpal Bill with five representatives from Central Government ministries and remaining five from civil society including Anna Hazare, well known lawyers Shanti Bhushan (co-chairman of the committee) and Prashant Bhushan, anti-corruption activist Aravind Kejriwal and former Supreme Court judge Santosh Hegde.

On the Government front, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee will be the chairman of the committee with other members in the form of Law Minister Veerappa Moily, Telecom Minister Sibal, Home Minister P. Chidambaram and Water Resources Minister Salman Khurshid.

Sibal’s negotiations till the last hour with Anna and AICC resulted in the clearance of deadlock on legal status of the committee and chairmanship of the committee. With in the winter sessions of Parliament, Jan Lokpal Bill will be passed that will give ultimate power for public to erase corruption from society.
