Hyderabad, Sept 17 :
Traffic restrictions would be imposed from 7 am on Friday to noon on Monday in old city following closure of Madina-Charminar stretch for vehicular traffic in view of Ramzan festival. All main roads connecting Charminar with Madina, Murgi chowk and Moghulpura Kaman will be closed for vehicular traffic between 9 am and 3 pm on Friday.
According to City Police Commissioner B Prasada Rao, the traffic restrictions were imposed in connection with the Jummat-ul-Vida prayers, which will be offered on last Friday of Ramzan.
Diversions Vehicles coming from Nayapul may proceed towards Salarjung Museum, Darulshifa Rotary and further or towards Madina, City College and further. Vehicles coming from Mahatma Gandhi bus station, Gowliguda, towards Charminar would be diverted at Madina towards City College. Traffic coming from Shahalibanda and Nagulchintha towards Charminar would be diverted towards Khilwath at Himmatpura crossroads. Traffic from Chowmohallah and Haribowli would not be allowed towards Charminar.
Vehicles coming from Kotla Alijah to Charminar would be diverted towards Bib Bazar at Chowk Maidan. From here, vehicles can go towards Hafeez Danka mosque and proceed further. Traffic coming from Petlaburj and Moosabowli side to Charminar would be diverted at Motigalli towards Khilwath. Vehicles coming from Eitbarchowk would not be allowed towards Kali Kaman and would be diverted at Eitbarchowk to go towards Mir Alam Mandi or Bibi Bazar. Vehicles coming from Mitti Ka Sher would not be allowed towards Gulzar House and would be diverted towards Ghansibazar. Traffic would be diverted at Irangalli towards Eitbarchowk and Mir Alam Mandi. Buses towards Charminar would be halted at Afzalgunz while buses from MGBS will proceed via Nalgonda crossroads and MBNR cross road, according to a press note.
