Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam Executive Officer I Y R Krishna Rao on Saturday stated that the Devasthanam has received Rs 14.36 crore as hundi collection during the nine days of Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavam, which was concluded with Chakrasnanam.
Mr Krishna Rao told media persons that six lakh devotees visited the hill shrine for darshan of Lord Venkateswara during the nine day even.
He said the Devasthanam has sold 22 lakh laddus to devotees and there were no complaints about the shortage of supply of laddus.
The EO revealed the temple authorities provided free meal to 9 lakh devotees and 3 lakh devotees were tonsured in Kalyanakatta.
Mr Krishna Rao also revealed that the devasthanam has organized a national-level convention on November 14-15 to frame modalities for providing accommodation, amenities and hassle-free darshan of Lord Venkateswara.
He said the religious heads meet would be held on November 29 and 30.
Former Executive Officers I V Subba Rao, Ajay Kalam and PVRK Prasad will attend the conventions and offer their valuable suggestions.
The EO also thanked the TTD and police officials for extending their cooperation to ensure that the Brahmotsavam passed off smoothly.
