SivaKarthikeyan Next Is Based On The Life Of An Army Major

Kamal Haasan after the mega success of Vikram, has initiated several projects under his RaajKamal Films International Banner. He has started high-budgeted films with Simbu and Sivakarthikeyan. Among these Sivakarthikeyan films is in the shooting stage. The latest update about #SK21 is that it is based on a real-life event and is a biopic.

SK21 is based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, a valiant army officer who martyred his country. Major Mukund Varadarajan of the Indian Army's Rajput Regiment was given India's highest peacetime gallantry award, the Ashok Chakra. In 2014, he was killed in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir during an encounter with terrorists. In eliminating three terrorists and rescuing his team, he showed tremendous bravery and leadership.

Sivakarthikeyan's film in Kamal Haasan production depicts the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan’s extraordinary journey. The film also stars Sai Pallavi as the female lead. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. Sivakarthikeyan, who is essaying the role of Major Mukund Varadarajan, is undergoing rigorous training to attain the toned and fit look-befitting army personnel.

The film revolves around the heroic exploits of Major Mukund Varadarajan, showcasing his bravery and sacrifice for the nation. SK21 is currently being shot at various locations nationwide, including Kashmir. The film has music by GV Prakash and cinematography by Nirav Shah.
