Why did Mohanlal say no to Rajinikanth. Mohanlal is a complete actor and he is celebrating his birthday today. Mohanlal is playing an important role in Super Star Rajinikanth's upcoming entertainer Jailer.

The film is directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar and expectations are high as the film has a star studded cast and people are waiting eagerly to see Mohan Lal and Rajinikanth share screen presence on the big screen.

But what many are unaware is Mohan Lal rejected Rajinikanth's blockbuster film Sivaji directed by Shankar. The role eventually went to Suman. Mohan Lal speaking about it shared “Yes, Shankar met me and narrated the storyline. It was a negative character I found quite interesting, but they wanted many days from me spread over an entire year. It meant letting go of many of my Malayalam projects which I didn't want to. I want the good relationship I have in Kerala and Tamil Nadu to stay that way. It was a good villain's role though,”

Jailer stars  Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sanjay Dutt and Shivarajkumar important roles. The music for the film is scored by Anirudh Ravichander and the film is releasing on 10 August 2023.
