Jawan Postponed To A New Release Date

Shahrukh Khan after his return to big screen with a bang this year with huge blockbuster Pathaan, has another high voltage actioner, Jawan in line which is slated to release on 2nd June. But, all of a sudden, the film stands postponed leaving fans in much disappointment. The Atlee directorial is among the most awaited Hindi films of the year and is expected to set the cash registers ringing in a big way upon its release. But, Jawan postponement news came as a shock and reportedly a new release date is also locked.

Jawan comprises a strong star-cast of SRK with Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi. While Vijay, Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt are doing cameos as per reports. Though it is not officially announced, but the strong word is Jawan is no longer releasing on June 2, 2023. The team needs more time to complete the visual effects of the film. The VFX team have been working round the clock over the last few months, but the process is taking longer than expected.

The team is pondering over several dates. They considered almost every Friday in July - August months considering that the VFX wok will be done by that date. After considering June 29, and all the four weeks of August. Team finalised that Jawan will be an August release. August 11 and August 25 are heavily being discussed by all stakeholders at Red Chillies, as per reports. 

But, Ranbir Kapoor's Animal directed by Sandeep Vanga is already locked it's release date on August 11 two years ago. And they are not moving away from that date. Sunny Deol's sequel Gadar 2 is also releasing on same day. So, considering all these, Team has finalised the release date as August 25th. An official announcement will is expected tomorrow from Shahrukh 's production house Red Chillies Entertainments which is bank-rolling this mega project.
