In a shocking development, Police stopped Oscar winner A.R Rahman's concert abruptly much to the disbelief of all the fans. Rahman was performing live at Raja Bahadur Mills, Pune, yesterday. But police stopped it as A.R Rahman exceeded the time limit of 10 PM night.

DCP, Zone 2 of Pune Police, Smartana Patil said, “Pune Police stopped music maestro AR Rehman from singing during his concert last night after he continued to perform beyond the permissible time of 10 pm. Rehman was singing his last song and while singing he did not realise that it was already past 10 pm, so our police official who was at the venue went and conveyed to him the deadline to be followed as per the SC guidelines after that he stopped singing.(sic)”

Fans who came in large numbers also left silently as Rahman stopped it in the middle. Rahman recently scored music for Maniratnam's Ponniyin Selvan.

Earlier Rahman landed in controversy when he asked his wife Saira to talk in Tamil and not in Hindi at an awards function. When actress Kasturi wondered in which language they speak as Saira doesn't known Tamil, Rahman posted Kaadhalukku Mariyaadhai (Respect for love). He added heart and flower emojis.
