Did Ram Charan not like Dhamaka. Speculation is increasing as to whether Ram Charan rejected Dhamaka. It is known that Mass MahaRaja Raviteja's mass action entertainer Dhamaka directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina hit the screens a couple of days in an extravagant manner. However, the film got mixed reviews and now reports are coming that Dhamaka has been rejected by Ram Charan earlier.

Prasanna Kumar Bezawada who penned the story and dialogues for the film, speaking to scribes shared that he narrated the story to Ram Charan a few years back but Ram Charan rejected it saying the story was illogical. Those who watched the film are of the opinion that Ram Charan must have rejected the film as the film had shades of many previous hit films. To the fop of it, the film's story is similar to his dad Chiranjeevi's blockbuster film Rowdy Alludu.

The film had spoof on his dad Chiranjeevi's Indra and that did not connect chords with the viewers. Apart from it, the track of Hyper Adi and Rao Ramesh is similar to Allu Ramalingiah and Rao Gopal Rao. There are many such half baked scenes in the film which left viewers scratching their heads looking desperately for a break. The film missed many logics and routine elements, beaten to the dead story became its weak points.
