Can Chiranjeevi pass the litmus test. This is the million-dollar question not only in the minds of mega fans and movie lovers but also analysts. Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya is releasing in a spectacular manner on 13 January,2023. Ahead of the release in which Chiranjeevi is donning the mass action avatar, all eyes are on the film's performance at the box office.

Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya is on the radar though Sankranti season also has Natasimha Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy, Ajith's Thegimpu/Thunivu and Vijay's Varisu/Vasarudu in the fray. This is because of the results of Chiranjeevi's previous films Acharya and Godfather. Chiranjeevi's Acharya turned out to be a disaster even with the presence of his son Mega Power Star Ram Charan with whom he shared screen presence for the first time in his career and that too after Ram Charan attained national fame with his performance in Rajamouli's RRR.

Chiranjeevi's Godfather did no better despite the presence of Bollywood Super Star Salman Khan in a powerful cameo and both enacted deadly stunts and mesmerizing dances. Now Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya has the presence of Mass Raja Raviteja. Many feel this is sending signals that Chiranjeevi lost hope of scoring a hit and shaking the box office as a single hero. Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy is not having any additional specials and Balakrishna himself is enough to power the film at the box office after the sensation of Akhanda. Vijay's Varisu/ Varasudu has the backing of Dil Raju, the star producer, and distributor. Ajith's Thegimpu/Thunivu has mass fan-following support.

If Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya fails at the box office then all his opponents will be up in arms saying Chiranjeevi's career is ending as, despite the presence of Raviteja, the film bombed at the box office. Under these circumstances, can Chiranjeevi pass the litmus test?
